If you know me well, you know for the past 30 years I don't drink coffee.
I swear with no coffee under whatover circumstances & insist to look at non coffee drinking menu.
But of course I have a lot of friends who loves coffee, some love it with milk, some love it black, some love it with double expresso, some love it with chocholate.
My official encounter with coffee was through Ee min who brought me to this small coffee shop at Shaw Parade after a day of shopping. I had Pandan latte that day, and it was not so bad; and then I went back to this coffee shop again with C, and ordered Soyacino this round.
Subsequent encounter with coffee was throughout some starbucks time, choosing between drinks when you are sharing your tumble, C opted for Mocha, and to my surpise, I like it too, and have been drinking Ice blended mocha since! And I even started to get attracted to having the bitter taste of coffee circulating in my mouth, how weird!
And then it was last Sunday, at Cafe-cafe, V ordered affogato, where the cafe-cafe way of serving it is black coffee + cream brulee + liquer, and I instantly in love with it! A mixture of sweet, bitter & alcohol, yum!
So last night at dinner, I ordered again! The original affogato served with vanilla ice cream, equally nice & addictive!
When I was young, I used to be very picky on food, and as I grow older, I learnt to accept them, but I still don't eat lady finger, mushroom, bittergourd & frog.
I used to anti-coffee, and now I'm drinking it!
Time to revisit the small coffee shop at Shaw Parade, so many coffee option awaiting
